Kentucky Crushed Stone Association's Annual Safety & Education Seminar

The Kentucky Crushed Stone Association is hosting the annual Safety and Educational Seminar on Wednesday, January 23 and Thursday, January 24, 2019 at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Lexington, Kentucky. The seminar will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 23 with safety presentations. Following the safety presentations, we invite you to join our associate members for an opening reception in the trade show area located just outside the meeting room.
Thursday morning, will give attendees another opportunity to mingle with exhibitors with "breakfast in the trade show area" beginning at 7:00 a.m. Following breakfast, we will kick-off our second General Session at 8:00 a.m. The day will conclude following our keynote speaker at 4:00 p.m. We will wrap up with door prizes in our trade show area following the last session.

Deadline to receive the discounted room rate is January 9, 2019. To reserve a room, call 859-455-5000 and use the "KY Crushed Stone Association" rate. The room rate is $139.95 per night plus tax. We recommend reserving your hotel room early as the room block will fill up.

Please note that check-in time is 3:00 p.m. and check-out time is 11:00 a.m. All room cancellations must be received no later than 48 hours prior to arrival. Cancellations made after this time, or no shows, will be charged for 1 night's stay.

Highlights for 2019

Day 1 - Safety Day 

This year's event will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 23 with safety speakers from the Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA), the National Stone, Sand and Gravel Association (NSSGA), and other safety presenters from the industry. 

Our closing keynote speaker will be University of Kentucky Men's Baseball Coach Nick Mingione - 2017 National and SEC Coach of the Year. Coach Mingione is a very dynamic speaker with lots of stories that will be very entertaining. You won't want to miss his presentation.


Welcome Reception on Wednesday Evening

Join us in the Trade Show area for a Welcome Reception on Wednesday evening from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. We invite you to mingle with our Exhibitors. This is a great opportunity to check out the latest technology and meet the associate members of the Kentucky Crushed Stone Association.


Day 2 - Education Day

Day 2 will feature education presentations on mining best practices and technology advancements in the industry. 

Our closing keynote speaker for the conference will be former Kentucky Wildcat and NBA star Rex Chapman. Rex's story will be focus on his successes and demons. You won't want to miss this opportunity to hear his story.
