2022 Miner of the Year - Eddie Winters, Harrod Concrete & Stone Company

Eddie Winters began his career in the mining industry in 1987 at Liter’s Inc. in Lockport, KY where he spent 20 years working at that mine. In 2007, he went to work for Harrod Concrete and Stone in Frankfort, KY in 2007. He has operated various pieces of equipment including a scaling machine, header driller, powder truck, water truck, haul truck and stockpile truck. He has also been a plant operator and scale house manager in his tenure. In his 35 years in the mining industry, Eddie has been an aggregate technician and most importantly he worked his entire career without any lost time reportable injuries.
