The Underground Committee is going to meet on Tuesday, May 14 at Heidelberg Materials Mt. Vernon Quarry. The deadline to register is May 8th.

Who Should Attend? This meeting is designed to discuss any challenges in the industry, sharing of safety and technical information, and to provide content and recommendations for the 2024 Underground Stone Safety conference, December 3-4 at the Louisville Marriott East hotel.

Recap of the 2023 Underground Stone Safety Seminar – we have the survey results and planning to go over these as discussion items

• Discuss the new location of the 2024 meeting at the Marriott Louisville East property.
• Topics and potential speakers
• Discuss any hot button issues such as challenges with the new Power Haulage Rule related to the underground quarries.
• Any discussion items or research projects from NIOSH
• Host lunch and then tour the quarry
